Стали известны музыканты и альбомы, получившие премию Blues Music Awards на церемонии в Мемфисе 11 мая. Так с 2006 года называется учреждённая в 1980 «Фондом Блюза» (Blues Foundation) премия, ранее известная как W.C. Handy Awards. В четырёх категориях лауреатом стал умерший прошлым летом Little Milton Campbell.
